My story begins on Sunday afternoon, July 2, 2023. The Fourth of July weekend and I start having abdominal pain . I do not feel right so I have my husband Stephen take me to our local Urgent Care facility and am told to rush to a hospital for a Cat Scan. Residing in New Rochelle but remembering what Great Care our grandchildren were given when they were born at White Plains Hospital NICU unit, we knew we were going to go to White Plains Hospital for this Cat scan. I was doubled over in pain and as soon as we entered the Emergency Room Area we experienced the greatest care and concern from the Emergency Team on board. This being at 4:30 pm Sunday afternoon on a HOLIDAY Weekend I did not know how long I would be in pain and if the Cat scan could be performed. My husband and I were so impressed with the speed and efficiency your team provided to us. My husband was so impressed at how everyone had their roles all perfect and in sync with one another. My Cat Scan confirmed a diagnosis of Diverticulitis and revealed a perforated pouche. I was admitted that evening and am currently under treatment with IV and antibiotics. I am so grateful for all the staff that has been taking care of me during this Holiday weekend. I cannot thank all that are involved in my stay and I know we will get this event under control . My husband and I would also like to thank the team who are taking care of me on the 5th floor under the leadership of Ms. Kerri Sommer.
