For the 11th consecutive time, White Plains Hospital has received an “A” from healthcare watchdog the Leapfrog Group in its Spring 2024 Hospital Safety Grades for its continued excellence in providing safe, expert care to its patients. The Hospital is one of only 17 hospitals in New York State to receive the highest possible rating during this period and has received an “A” each period since the beginning of 2019. White Plains Hospital is the only hospital in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley, and one of just four hospitals in New York State, to earn this top grade 11 consecutive times.

According to the magazine's World's Best Hospitals 2024 ranking, White Plains is one of just 15 hospitals in New York, and the only hospital in Westchester and Fairfield counties, to receive this honor.
Magnet Recognition Program®
White Plains Hospital has been designated for the third time (2012, 2016, 2021) as a Magnet organization by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association. Magnet designation is the highest and most prestigious international distinction a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence, and it is the ultimate credential for high-quality nursing. Hospitals must complete a rigorous evaluation process and site visit every four years in order to achieve and maintain the designation.

A 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Patient Experience Award, White Plains Hospital is among the top 15% of hospitals nationwide for achieving outstanding performance in the delivery of positive experiences for patients during their hospital stay, according to Healthgrades, a leading resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.
