3 key steps in a stop-smoking plan

When you're trying to quit smoking, having a plan can point you to success. Here are three key steps worth including in your quit plan.

Call it quits!

Pick a day to quit within the next month. If you wait longer, you might back out. Share your quit date with others so they can encourage you.

Find your inspiration. Many people quit smoking to save money and be healthier. What motivates you to crush it?

Prepare for cravings and urges. Decide if you will use stop-smoking medicines. Make a list of other activities to do instead of smoking. Stock up on sugarless gum.
