In Memory of Micharlie Louissaint

Micharlie was a dedicated Registered Nurse working for White Plains Hospital for over 35 years. She was a lifetime non-smoker diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2009. As a relentless fighter, Micharlie, fought for 3 years at the start, continuing to be an inspirational daughter, wife, mother, friend and coworker. She went into remission for 10 years, continuing to fight a diligent fight. Micharlie used this time to fulfill her lifelong dream by receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing Education at American Sentinel College at Post University in 2021. Unfortunately, in mid-late 2022 her fight became aggressive leading to her being called home on November 21st, 2023, surrounded by her children and family. At a young age of 60, she leaves behind a husband, a legacy of 4 energetic and soul spirited children, a warrior father, 3 brothers, 3 sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We wholeheartedly thank the White Plains Hospital Center for Cancer Care for its exceptional dedication and commitment in cancer care. The Center’s multidisciplinary approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive and individualized care, considering their specific conditions and needs. Extensive thanks to Dr. Sara Sedan and Nurse Practitioner, Sandra Aufiero for delivering the upmost analytical, intelligent and supportive care catered to Micharlie. Today, we hope that you will join us in making a gift to White Plains Hospital to honor Micharlie’s memory and support this important program. By gifting the program, you can honor Micharlie as well as make an impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by this devastating disease. Your generosity will help make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer and contribute to the mission of saving lives
