Date: Monday, July 31, 2023Location: Quaker Ridge Golf Club, Scarsdale, NY Tennis Committee: Annette Cappucci Nancy Clarvit, Geralyn Della Cava, Gianna Torres and Kathleen Winterroll Friends of White Plains Hospital Leadership: Wendy Berk, Geralyn Della Cava* and Kathleen Winterroll* *Friends Co-Presidents Event schedule 9:00 a.m. - Registration and light breakfast for Tennis and Pickleball players 9:30 a.m. - Cardio warm-up for Tennis and Pickleball Players 9:45 a.m. - Tennis and Pickleball 11:45 a.m. - Lunch for Tennis and Pickleball players 1:00 p.m. - Tennis and Pickleball 6:00 p.m. - Dinner Reception (For those who have registered for a full day of tennis/pickleball) Tennis/Pickleball Arrival: Please pull into the tennis facility at 211 Griffen Avenue, Scarsdale (about 0.3 miles from the main Clubhouse) and self park. Breakfast will be at the tennis facility. Locker room facilities: We provide a locker for your use at the clubhouse for your use after tennis, if so needed. Locker room attendants are ready and willing to assist you in any way possible. Tennis tournament: Round robin (arranged by tennis pro on player’s ability) and tennis games will be conducted by tennis pros. Pickleball:Games will be arranged by tennis pro. There will be instruction and paddles available for use. Please bring your own pickleball paddle. If you do not own one, paddles will be provided for use. Club Attire: Proper tennis/pickleball attire is to be worn at all times (does not have to be tennis whites). Tank tops, jogging shorts, cargo shorts, gym shorts, cut offs, and denim jeans are not acceptable. Please note, the event is rain or shine, there are no refunds. Should the event be rained out, every possible effort will be made to re-schedule or offer alternative dates to play.Event will follow and enforce guidelines set in place by New York State as it relates to COVID-19.
