Be a Friend...Make a Difference The purpose of the Friends of White Plains Hospital is to promote and advance the welfare of White Plains Hospital. This is accomplished through service to the Hospital, its patients and the community and through various fundraisers and social service projects. The Friends offer a variety of activities for members who wish to give their time. We continually explore new initiatives through which we can improve and expand our mission to serve the Hospital. In addition, we partner in Hospital activities and participate on the Hospital Board of Directors. We sponsor or support programs, including: Junior Volunteer Scholarship Award Comfort Kits for Adult & Pediatric Emergency Room Patients The Hospital’s Family Health Center Hospital Holiday Decorating Other support as needed, such as nursing comfort bags, winter essentials, pediatric medical items & other various needs We conduct fundraisers throughout the year, including: G3 – Girls Got Game White Plains Hospital/Mariano Rivera Golf & Tennis Classic Fall Gala Junior Friends of White Plains Hospital The Junior Friends of White Plains Hospital work to improve the patient experience of the Hospital’s pediatric population. Their main event during the school year is Bowling for Bears, which raises funds for Teddy Bears and Comfort Kits. Please let us know of teens from your local high schools who would like to participate.
