Thoracic Surgery at White Plains Hospital

At White Plains Hospital we’re proud to provide complete, innovative and effective care for benign as well as malignant diseases of the chest.   We take a patient-centered approach to thoracic surgery to treat problems affecting the lungs, esophagus, and trachea as well as disorders that occur in the space between the lungs and where the heart and its large veins and arteries are found (the mediastinum).

Our fully staffed Thoracic Surgery Service includes a multidisciplinary team of board-certified thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiation and medical oncologists, and critical care intensivists.  The team is standing by to provide each patient with an expert, individualized treatment plan in an expedient and efficient manner so the time from diagnosis to treatment is minimized.

In addition, our staff of highly trained, magnet-designated nurses, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, physical therapists, social workers and case managers work in-sync with the surgeons and other specialists to provide well-coordinated and compassionate care for patients who are recovering from surgery.
