Cancer Program

Welcome to the Cancer Program at White Plains Hospital, home to the Dickstein Center and your circle of care during the often overwhelming and emotional time following a cancer diagnosis. Initially accredited in 1993, we are approved by The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Community Comprehensive Cancer Program. We are also a repeated recipient of the Commission on Cancer’s Outstanding Achievement Award. White Plains Hospital is one of a select group of only 23 U.S. healthcare facilities with accredited cancer programs to receive this national honor. The White Plains Hospital Cancer Program first received CoC accreditation when it opened in 1993 and has maintained continuous approval since that time; attaining commendation status continuously since 2006.

NAPBC SealIn 2012, the Hospital also received the prestigious accreditation as a National Breast Center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.

CoC Accredited Program As the leading regional cancer facility, the WPH Cancer Program provides patients with the best care available in an easily accessible setting. Your circle of care is complete cancer care—the only kind of care you will find at The Cancer Program at White Plains Hospital.
