About Our Maternity Program
You are about to embark on one of life’s most exciting journeys—the birth of a child.
Whether you’re an expectant mom for the first time, or you’re pregnant again, childbirth is a wondrous experience. The William & Sylvia Silberstein Maternity Center at White Plains Hospital wants to make it ideal for you.
You have questions. You may have concerns. Most certainly, you have preferences.
We want to know them.
We are here to provide you with the answers, reassurance, and services you need to make the birth of your baby as calm and comfortable as possible.
From preconception counseling to prenatal yoga to midwifery to pediatric specialization to rooming-in, we custom-design care to give you the birth experience you want.
Our Maternity Center offers an array of pregnancy, perinatal, childbirth, and newborn care services in a soothing, safe, and welcoming environment. Our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of the most advanced in the region with six board-certified neonatologists and 40 RNs, many of whom specialize in neonatal care. WPH also has two perinatologists who specialize in high-risk pregnancies. From preconception to pediatric specialization, our goal is to make your birthing experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
More babies are born in WPH's Neonatal & Maternity Center than in any other hospital in Westchester. We've averaged 2000 deliveries a year for several years.
