Jeffrey A. Tiesi, FACHE
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Jeffrey A. Tiesi is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of White Plains Hospital. In this capacity, he oversees operations at White Plains Hospital, including Construction and Facilities Management, Human Resources, Information Systems and Telecommunications, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Security and Parking, as well as Laboratory and Radiology Services.
Prior to joining the Hospital in early 2015, Mr. Tiesi served as System Vice President at the Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA, where he was responsible for the Geisinger Heart and Vascular Institute (GH&VI). Under his leadership, the GH&VI grew nearly four-fold and was distinguished nationally for its pioneering “ProvenCare” quality initiatives. Before joining Geisinger, Mr. Tiesi was Vice President at the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA, and previously held multiple administrative positions at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY.
Mr. Tiesi holds a Bachelor of Health Records Administration and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). In 1996, the ACHE recognized him as the “Young Healthcare Executive of the Year” for Long Island and he received the Senior Regent’s Award for New York in 2016. Mr. Tiesi served as ACHE Regent-at-Large for District 2 (NJ, PA, OH, MY, DE and DC). Prior ACHE work included serving as Chairman of the Group Practice Executive’s Committee and as President of two affiliated local health groups: the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF) and, most recently, the Metropolitan Health Administrators Association (MHAA) in New York.
