White Plains, NY.
– White Plains Hospital was once again awarded an ‘A’ for the Spring 2020 Hospital Safety Grade
from the Leapfrog Group – the only hospital in Westchester County to receive the advocacy group’s highest possible rating. This is the third time in a row the Hospital has received this top-level national recognition for its achievements in providing safer health care.
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. Leapfrog scores hospitals on how well they protect patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections – all of which increases a patient’s chance of dying. Researchers assessed more than 2,600 hospitals nationwide and only 33 percent were awarded with an “A” rating.
The Safety Grade exemplifies the Hospital’s dedication to excellence and the highest level of patient care. With perfect scores in categories such as Hospital Leadership, Enough Qualified Nurses, Specialty-trained ICU Doctors, Safe Medication Administration and Working Together to Prevent Errors, White Plains Hospital has shown that its commitment to safety continues to be unwavering, even in crisis.
