The White Plains Hospital labor and delivery team is comprised of experienced and highly trained physicians, nurses and staff who provide expert and compassionate care for mothers having routine deliveries and high-risk mothers with complex needs. Our team includes:

  • Neonatologists specializing in treating babies with complex problems and intensive care for newborns
  • Perinatologists specializing in high-risk pregnancy care

Magnet® accredited nurses

We’re proud of our outstanding Magnet®-accredited nurses! Magnet® recognition is determined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®, which ensures that rigorous standards for nursing excellence are met. Many of our labor & delivery nurses have one or more specialized certifications, such as the Registered Nurse Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Care (RNC-OB) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certifications. All of our labor & delivery nurses are Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certified, able to provide emergency care if needed. All of our postpartum nurses are Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC), and are able to support breastfeeding and mother-child bonding.
