Montefiore Health System and White Plains Hospital Team Up With Bloomingdale’s for Think Pink Beauty Event

Portion of Proceeds to Benefit Both Hospital’s Cancer Centers

White Plains, NY (September 27, 2016) – Montefiore Health System and White Plains Hospital are teaming up with Bloomingdale’s - White Plains for an evening of breast cancer education, beauty and shopping to raise awareness of the disease. Breast cancer specialists from both hospitals will take part in an interactive panel discussion moderated by Assemblywoman and Scarsdale resident, Amy R. Paulin (D-88).

The expert panelists include Montefiore Medical Center’s Dr. Susan Klugman, Medical Director for the Program for Jewish Genetic Health; Emily Bloom, Genetic Counselor at Montefiore; and Dr. Randy Stevens, Director of Radiation Oncology at White Plains Hospital. Dr. Klugman and Dr. Stevens are also both residents of Scarsdale.

The evening is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Jody Ross, dedicated mother, wife, White Plains Pediatrician, survivor, and Bloomingdale’s shopper.

In addition to catching up on the latest developments in understanding, preventing and treating breast cancer, guests will receive beauty makeovers at their favorite cosmetics counters, enjoy music and a light bite and receive a gift bag.

A $25.00 reservation fee is credited to the beauty purchase of choice and 10% of the sales from each customer’s total purchases during this event will be divided between and donated to the White Plains Hospital Center for Cancer Care and the Program for Jewish Genetic Health which is affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, but does not receive financial support from either institution.
