Dr. Streisand has been a member of the White Plains Hospital Thoracic Surgery Service for more than 30 years. He performed the first video assisted thoracotomy in Westchester County in 1990. Dr. Streisand graduated from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and did most of his residency training at The State University Hospital and Kings County Hospital in New York. In addition he spent a year as a resident with Dr. Michael DeBakey, a pioneer in thoracic and vascular surgery, at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Dr. Streisand is particularly interested in video assisted thorascopic procedures for lung diseases and esophageal diseases.
