Neonatal Parents’ Network (NPN)

Parents of babies that spend time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit automatically become a part of the Neonatal Parents Network (NPN). Our mission is as follows:

  • To improve and better the care of the babies and families with babies in the Neonatal Unit.
  • To enhance the experience by creating auxiliary activities in the Unit for the benefit of the babies.
  • To provide emotional support for families.

2010 NICU ReunionCome join us at our monthly meetings where we discuss and prepare for numerous yearly activities and events such as the Tiny Tots Newsletter and the annual Reunion where parents and babies come back year after year to celebrate.

The Neonatal Parents Network also runs EMBRACE - the support group for parents of babies in the Unit. At the meetings parents of "graduates" and parents of babies currently in the Unit get together to share experiences, voice concerns and get comfort. We know what you are going through because we have been there! The meetings are also open to parents of babies born at other area hospitals. If you are interested in attending a meeting, kindly call the NPN's hotline at (914) 681-2550.
