About Your Bill and Insurance
Insurance plans such as Empire Blue Cross, Medicare, commercial insurance and Medicaid, will cover most of the costs of your hospitalization after your deductible is paid. You will be responsible for paying any deductible and charges not covered by your insurance as well as any television and telephone charges. If you have questions about your bill or your insurance coverage during your stay, contract the Credit Office at 914-681-1016.
Any questions concerning your bill should be directed to the Patient Accounts Department. This office is open from 8 am to 4 pm. Telephone inquires are welcome from 9 am until 4 pm Monday - Friday.

A number of medical services are billed separately from your Hospital bill. These fees are not set or controlled by the Hospital. Services providing a separate billing statement are listed below. Call their phone numbers for billing inquiries.

Not all of the plans offered by a particular insurer may be accepted by the hospital. Also, the insurers listed below have agreements covering hospital services and these agreements may not apply to all physician services. Please check with your insurer for complete details. Notice of Availability of Charity Care
In recognition that all patients who seek health care from White Plains Hospital may not have the financial resources or insurance coverage to afford care, the Hospital will make available a reasonable amount of uncompensated services to persons meeting the eligibility requirements.
Eligibility for free care will be limited to persons whose family income is not more than the current poverty guidelines established by the Department of Health and Human Services. Persons whose income is greater than the guidelines are eligible for hospital charity care at a reduced-fee basis. For more information call the Credit Department at extension 1016.
