White Plains, NY (April 22, 2012) - White Plains Hospital is partnering with Bloomingdale’s for an evening to promote skin health and wellness on Thursday April 26th. Board-certified dermatologist and White Plains Hospital physician Amy Newburger, M.D. will discuss techniques to maintain youthful looking skin while preventing age and sun-related skin damage. The event, intended to coincide with the start of May as National Melanoma Awareness Month, will feature individual skin care consultations and makeup applications by Bloomingdale’s cosmetics representatives. Said Dr. Newburger, “The skin is our body's largest organ and a living, self-regenerating, head-to-toe coat that reflects the lifestyle choices we make and products we use.”
Night at the Beauty Bar will take place on Thursday April 26th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Level 1 in the cosmetics department of Bloomingdale’s in White Plains. Cocktails and refreshments will be provided and participants will each receive a Bloomingdale’s Beauty Bag. A required reservation fee of $25 will be redeemed on any cosmetic, skin care or fragrance purchase that evening.
