New Look Created to Better Reflect Hospital’s Identity; Advertising Campaign will Support Launch
White Plains, NY (October 1, 2010) - White Plains Hospital’s administration and Board of Directors unveiled this morning an updated logo and name in a press conference attended by Hospital staff, Board members, administrators and the public.
The Hospital will now be known as White Plains Hospital, and the logo illustrates that change and the state-of-the-art healthcare that the Hospital delivers to residents of White Plains and surrounding areas.
The decision to update the name and logo was based on a discovery process which engaged industry experts to examine the Hospital’s brand strengths. After interviews with key stakeholders including members of the Board of Directors, physicians, nurses, staff, as well as former patients and community members, a new identity was created to better reflect the core strengths of the Hospital: leading edge technology and compassionate care.
“At White Plains Hospital, we are proud to offer the most state-of-the-art technologies to our patients: from the daVinci Robotic Surgical System to RapidArc radiation therapy, from our new and expanded emergency department to our cardiac catheterization lab,” said Jon B. Schandler, President and CEO of White Plains Hospital. “Furthermore, our physicians and clinicians are true experts in their fields.”
The new logo has a contemporary look, with strong, clean lines, and a deeper blue. Since the new logo transitions smoothly from the old one, signage will be replaced on an as needed basis. The decision to eliminate “Center” from the Hospital’s name came from the community, who during interviews referred to the Hospital simply as White Plains Hospital.
“The new re-energized look matches our approach to healthcare, bringing the latest technology and extraordinary care to our patients,” said Dawn W. French, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.
The logo roll-out to the public will occur over the next few weeks through print and television advertisements, which speak of the changes at the Hospital since 2010 began, including the new, expanded and enhanced Emergency Department and the addition of lifesaving emergency cardiac procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
Hospital representatives noted that the updated logo is just the beginning of a transformative future to come at White Plains Hospital.
