White Plains Hospital Announces “Think Pink” T-Shirt Design Contest

White Plains, NY - White Plains Hospital today announced a t-shirt design contest which will be one of the many ways it marks October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The winning design from the contest will be produced on shirts that will be sold at the Hospital’s gift shop, on its website, and at The Westchester mall October 14-15, with all proceeds going to Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center at White Plains Hospital. The contest will run from August 17 - September 14, 2011, with a winner announced by the end of September.

 

Winning Design will be produced on t-shirts sold during
Breast Cancer Awareness Month

White Plains, NY (August 2011)— White Plains Hospital today announced a t-shirt design contest which will be one of the many ways it marks October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The winning design from the contest will be produced on shirts that will be sold at the Hospital’s gift shop, on its website, and at The Westchester mall October 14-15, with all proceeds going to Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center at White Plains Hospital. The contest will run from August 17 - September 14, 2011, with a winner announced by the end of September.

The winning design will be produced on pink t-shirts, in honor of the pink ribbon that has become synonymous with Breast Cancer Awareness in recent years. The design will be printed on the back of the shirt and can have multiple colors. The winning artist will receive a $100 gift card to Simon Malls and two t-shirts featuring their design.

“We are excited about the ‘Think Pink’ t-shirt design contest,” said Dawn W. French, Vice President, Marketing and Community Relations at White Plains Hospital. “We hope that by engaging the community in an interactive contest, it will help raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage early detection and successful treatment.”

The contest is open to anyone. All entries must be e-mailed as a pdf to WPHThinkPink@gmail.com and be accompanied by a completed entry form, and those artists under age 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the form and send in the submission. The Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center (DCTC) at White Plains Hospital is the only free-standing building in Westchester County devoted to cancer treatment.
