White Plains, NY (September 14, 2010) - White Plains Hospital invites you to come celebrate fall with the whole family at the annual Scarecrow Festival- sponsored by the Auxiliary of White Plains Hospital, on Sunday, October 17th (rain or shine) at Kids’ B.A.S.E., 307 Mamaroneck Road in Scarsdale. This fun event allows families to build, dress and accessorize life-sized scarecrow and take them home.
Everything you need to create your scarecrow will be provided, including: shirts, pants, neckties, hats, adorable accessories and of course—straw! Scarecrow specialists will be on hand to help families stuff, tie and decorate their scarecrows. Each scarecrow will go home with its own birth certificate. Entertainment, arts and crafts for the kids, a bake sale, and fun raffles are included in the day’s festivities.
The price per scarecrow is $35 for a family of up to five, and $15 for each additional scarecrow. You must pre-register for this event. There are three sessions to choose from: 10:00-11:30 AM, Noon-1:30 PM and 2:00-3:30 PM. Parking is free. All proceeds from the event will benefit White Plains Hospital.
