WPHC Diabetes Education Program Merits ADA Recognition

White Plains, NY - The Diabetes Education and Treatment Center at White Plains Hospital Center has been awarded the continued Education Recognition Certificate from the American Diabetes Association for the high-quality education services it offers to its patients. Programs that achieve Recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who provide state-of-the-art information about diabetes management for participants. The certificate recognizes organizations that provide a quality diabetes self-management education program and offer high-quality education, an essential component of effective diabetes treatment.

 

White Plains, NY (March 17, 2010) - The Diabetes Education and Treatment Center at White Plains Hospital Center has been awarded the continued Education Recognition Certificate from the American Diabetes Association for the high-quality education services it offers to its patients. Programs that achieve Recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who provide state-of-the-art information about diabetes management for participants. The certificate recognizes organizations that provide a quality diabetes self-management education program and offer high-quality education, an essential component of effective diabetes treatment.

The Association’s Education Recognition Certificate assures that educational programs meet the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. Education Recognition status is verified by an official certificate from ADA and awarded for three years.

White Plains Hospital Center’s Diabetes Education and Treatment Center offers outpatient services that include individual and group sessions providing support to patients managing this disease.
