White Plains, NY (September 7, 2010) - Clear out your clutter! Make some space in your closets! Bring your excess used clothing to be used in the White Plains Hospital’s 12th Annual Scarecrow Festival. Drop off at the Gift Shop in the Main Lobby of the Hospital on 41 E. This fun event allows families to build, dress and accessorize life-size scarecrows and take them home. The Auxiliary of White Plains Hospital supplies everything- clothing, straw, accessories, decorative materials and step-by-step scarecrow building instructions. This year’s festival will take place on October 17th at the Kids B.A.S.E. in Scarsdale, 307 Mamaroneck Road. We are in great need of donated used clothing to supply for dressing the scarecrows. We will take any of the following articles of clothing:

• Long-Sleeved Button Down Shirts
• Jeans
• Khaki or Wool Pants
• Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s Sizes ALL accepted.

Please note shirts MUST be Long-sleeved (for scarecrow building purposes). We also are not taking any sweatshirts, sweaters, or sweatpants. If you would like more information on the event or would like to register please call (914) 681-1119.
