White Plains, NY - NFL legend Ahmad Rashad will host the second annual Ahmad Rashad Celebrity Golf Tournament at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York to benefit White Plains Hospital. Last summer’s inaugural tournament was a sold-out, star-studded event and this year the roster of guests continues to impress.
White Plains, NY (June, 2011) – NFL legend Ahmad Rashad will host the second annual Ahmad Rashad Celebrity Golf Tournament at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York to benefit White Plains Hospital. Last summer’s inaugural tournament was a sold-out, star-studded event and this year the roster of guests continues to impress.
Expected appearances from: Branford Marsalis, American saxophonist, composer and bandleader; Anna Rawson, Australian professional golfer and model; Vince Coleman, former MLB player most well-known for his time on the St. Louis Cardinals; Bob Costas, sportscaster for NBC; Ron Harper, former NBA player; Aidan Quinn, actor; Peter Jacobsen, professional golfer who has played on the PGA and Champions Tour; Chuck Foreman, former NFL player; George Gervin, former ABA and NBA player; Herb Williams, former ABA and NBA player for eighteen seasons; and Scott Burrell, American professional basketball coach and former NBA player who won an NBA Championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1998.

The Opening Celebration, June 26, 2011, 6:00 p.m. at 42 Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester will bring together Ahmad Rashad and friends and feature a performance by Island Def Jam recording artist, Jenna Andrews and Vali Entertainment. There will be a silent auction and raffle featuring items from esteemed brands such as Tiffany & Co, Steiner Sports, Judith Lieber and Delta Air Lines. Rokk Vodka and Tequila Avión will be the liquor sponsors for the event.
The Golf Tournament, Monday, June 27, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at one of the most exclusive golf courses in the nation, will feature all-day entertainment, culminating with a dinner party and exciting awards ceremony. Gift bags will be given out featuring items from brands including Nike Golf, Phillips Norelco, Soul Cycle, PsychoBunny and Equinox.
The event is co-chaired by Jonathan Spitalny and Robert Tucker. Delta Air Lines is the Title Sponsor and Official airline provider. Among the sponsors are Phillips Norelco, Tiffany & Co. Westchester, Equinox, Steiner Sports and Red Oak Transportation.
