For the 11th consecutive year, White Plains Hospital received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guide- lines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achieve- ment Award and in 2016 was recognized with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll status.

The Hospital received the CEO Cancer Gold StandardTM accreditation for a sec- ond consecutive year, recognizing our ongoing e ort to reduce cancer risks by cultivating the health and wellness of our employees and their families.

White Plains Hospital is the only hos- pital in Westchester participating in the country’s leading surgical qual- ity program—the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program—with the goal of helping hospitals save lives, prevent complications, and reduce costs.
ACCREDITATION FOR EXCELLENCE IN WEIGHT LOSS
White Plains Hospital’s bariatric surgery program was accredited as a Compre- hensive Center under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program—making the Hospital one of only two in West- chester to receive the accreditation.
SUPERIOR PATIENT EXPERIENCE
The Hospital again received the Out- standing Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades, scoring in the top 10% in the nation for patient experience.
EXCELLENCE IN OUR LABORATORIES
White Plains Hospital’s Clinical Labora- tory received re-accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in 2016. The Hospital’s clinical lab per- forms nearly two million tests annually using the most advanced equipment.
COMPREHENSIVE BREAST CARE
The Hospital was accredited for the second time as a National Breast Center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, which recognizes organizations committed to providing the best possible breast care.
NURSING EXCELLENCE IN HEART CARE
The Hospital’s Cardiac Care Unit was recognized with the American Associ- ation of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) silver-level Beacon Award for Excel- lence, recognizing unit caregivers who successfully improve patient outcomes and align practices with the AACN’s Healthy Work Environment Standards.
A SOOTHING ENVIRONMENT
White Plains Hospital was named the eighth most beautiful hospital in the United States on Soliant Health’s list of Top 20 Beautiful Hospitals. The Hospital was the only one in New York to be named on the list.
