Still underway are renovations on a new auditorium, expected to be completed this summer, and a spacious surgical waiting room and Central Clinical Services addition, which will add nearly 14,000 square feet for staff support and family waiting areas—both scheduled for completion in 2018.
The Hospital’s many improvements have not only enhanced the appearance of our facility, but represent a higher standard of excellence for our organization— inside and out.
Improving access to care for our greater Westchester community, continuity of care, and convenience have long been part of, and remain still, our vision for continued success in the future. In 2016 we built on our growth with more than 173,000 square feet of new or enhanced space, and further expanded our footprint by adding to the number of physician practices in the community. Transformation at White Plains Hospital was visible with the opening of  ve new operating suites designed with the latest technology and equipped for robotic and other minimally invasive surgeries.
In April, the Hospital became the  rst in Westchester to acquire two of the latest da Vinci robotic surgical systems.
The opening of the new Center for Cancer Care in February was a highlight of the year, celebrating the growth of our capabilities and expertise of our oncology services. Later in the spring, the unveiling of new private patient rooms and Labor and Delivery Suites highlighted our commitment to optimal healing environments and an exceptional patient experience. A new Interventional Radiology Suite opened in August to accommodate the growing
