Dr. Greenberg is well known as one of the region’s top cardiologists and has been repeatedly named among Castle Connolly and New York Magazine’s Top Doctors. “We are very fortunate and truly delighted to welcome Dr. Greenberg to White Plains Hospital,” said Susan Fox, President of the Hospital. “His extensive expertise and exceptional clinical skills will translate into unparalleled patient care in cardiac catheterizations here in Westchester, and he will be an invaluable resource in helping us continue to build on this very successful program.”

Dr. Greenberg completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan and received his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology, also at Montefiore. Dr. Greenberg expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Hospital. “It is a great privilege for me to be joining the staff of what has been my family’s own trusted community hospital,” he said. “I’ve been tremendously impressed with the remarkable growth of this institution over the past several years, and I’m very proud to be aligning myself with the extraordinary care they provide.”

As a result of White Plains Hospital’s newly established strategic partnership with the Montefiore Health System, patients who require heart surgery following angioplasty will benefit from the clinical services of the renowned Cardiac Surgery Program at the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care.

The Joan and Alan Herfort, M.D. Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at White Plains Hospital opened in 2008 for diagnostic procedures. In 2010, White Plains became the only community hospital in New York State licensed for both diagnostic and emergency angioplasty.
