Fashion Weekend Showcases Spring Trends with A Portion of Proceeds Benefitting the Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
White Plains, NY (April 3, 2013) – White Plains Hospital will present this year’s Spring Simon Fashion Now® event, a weekend-long series of fashion shows featuring the newest trends in clothing, shoes and accessories from retailers in the Westchester Mall. The weekend kicks off on Friday evening, April 12th at 5:30 p.m. with Trends & Friends Night on Retail Level One, which will feature demonstrations and samples from P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Origins, Party Line Rentals, Tranquility Spa & Westchester Wine Warehouse. Also Friday evening, on Center Court on Retail Level One, glasses of prosecco will be sold to benefit the Hospital’s Charles A. Mastronardi Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at White Plains Hospital. The NICU at White Plains Hospital is one of the most advanced in the region, accredited at Level III, the highest accreditation possible for a community hospital.
Two fashion shows on Friday evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively, and will feature spring wardrobe items. The event continues on Saturday, April 13th at noon with Design Wars, a design competition featuring students from the Westchester Fashion Academy for Children and Westchester Community College and benefiting Operation PROM. The afternoon fashion shows at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. on Retail Level II will feature graduates of the hospital’s NICU, ranging in age from two to twelve years old, modeling some of the latest fashions from Lilly Pulitzer and Baby Gap.
