White Plains, NY (January 2012) - White Plains Hospital plans a series of programs in January to help people make positive changes to improve their health and wellness in the New Year.
The Hospital’s “New Year, New You” series begins on Tuesday, January 10th with the program, “Is Weight Loss Surgery Right for You?” Physicians Dr. Philip Weber, Denise Adddorisio, RD and Sandy Gallo, RN will provide information to help attendees determine if bariatric surgery is an appropriate option. The panel will discuss pre-surgical education, nutritional and psychological counseling, surgery options, postoperative care and physical therapy. The presentation will take place from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the Hospital’s Medical Library.
The series continues on Thursday, January 19th from 5:30-6:30pm in the Medical Library with “Licking the Sugar Habit” from certified diabetes educator and Director of the Hospital’s Diabetes Education and Treatment Center, Ann Rupp, R.N.

“Smoking Cessation and Weight Loss Workshop”
